Guest guest
Hi, While reading Arctander, I found under his description of a fougere note that it is obtained by two or three items alone: oakmoss, coumarin, amyl salicylate — or oakmoss + amyl salicylate. What is amyl salicylate? I tried to look it up online and it seems to be a chemical with an olfactory description of herbaceous, sweet, subtle, balsamic. Is there a natural alternative to amyl salicylate? Thanks,
