Guest guest
Gertha, if you are following BFL, working out either HIIT or weights 6X week, then you should consider yourself fairly active. Even with a desk job, you are doing strenuous exercise every day to keep your metabolism chugging along. If you can do little things during the day to boost your activity, that might help: get up and walk to see someone instead of email, take a quick walk at lunch, take the stairs, etc. etc. when you say you havent lost anything, is this 'anything' or scale weight? I didnt lose scale weight for weeks, but did lose some inches and bf. Don't confuse no scale weight loss with the program not working! How do you know 1500 cals is the magic number? I don't know your current weight, bf to help figure this out. If you follow the fist/palm portions then the number of cals per day should definitely be a defecit. The only thing might be the quality of the foods you are eating? Certain foods are more calorie dense than others -- a fist of raisins would kill the calorie defecit, but grapes would keep the cals low (an extreme eg, but just trying to make the point). Also, proteins should be lean, or the same calorie dense problem can arise. How about posting a typical day of foods so we can try to critique? Calorie counting can help if that will make you feel better, but I am finding that the palm/fist method is equally as good. The choice is yours whether you want to take the time to track the numbers or not. Just don't make yourself crazy! lol >>>>>> The reason for wanting to know this is that i think i'm taking in > too many calories (haven't lost anything for 8 weeks) and want to > plan my days(eating) using fitday - you know print it out and then > use it as sample plans in the future so i know i stick to the right > amounts. For me to loose fat i have to take in 1500 cal a day > > I usauly did the palm fist thing, but when i entered it into fitday > it came out 2100 cal (which is why i'm maintaining my weight). > Knowing that i know where my problem lies and i'll go according cals > from now on. > > Good or bad idea? >
