I have had orange wax and I didn't care for it. Since I didn't like what it

smelled like I was afraid to try a floral wax.  This orange wax really smelled

awful. was it bad or am I missing something....?

There is an orange peel wax that is liquidy, very thick and syrupy and

has 'bits' in it. Smells a bit cooked. Is that what you have? Despite

its ugly appearance and strange scent, it's very valuable in small

quantities to help fix expensive florals.

Hi Evie, Folks...

I'm not an expert in floral waxes....

I have jasmine grandi and sambac, and champaca...

All three are delightful, and I've gifted them to folks as a scent

present....

Evie, I think you must have just got some bad stuff...Though I have no

experience with orange....I'm also assuming it's orange flower...

Floral waxes being the byproduct of absolute production normally...

If you are new to the relationship....

ABSOLUTE = CONCRETE - FLORAL WAX more or less....

What I find interesting is that there are way fewer floral waxes than

absolutes....

I'm not sure about the why of this......but I suppose it could be for a

number of reasons....

But then at one time rose hydrosol was so popular, that the icky oil

stuff that came out of the still with the rosewater, was separated and

thrown away...this may be an urban legend kinda thing.....

But you get the idea....

I dunno....seems like a market and product waiting to happen....

Evie....I would give the floral waxes another try....Odds are you'll be

delighted...
