Orange flower imparts a refreshing note, yet at the same time conveys a sensuality that comes from vitality and elan. Rich, full-bodied, but never overbearing, orange flower adds complexity, body and sexiness to any blend to which it's added. Worn alone, its topnote has a citrusy tang alongside its characteristic fresh floral note, which transforms into a rich, understated sweetness that lingers as the middle note plays its complex melody. Without a base note to fix and extend its beauty, it fades into a contented memory of a sun-drenched summer day. *sigh* Such sweet images to counter the cold, grey, snowy day outside my window. ~Becky

I guess because I can sort of satisfy my sandalwood lust with other woods -- I still need to make a good sandalwood replacement... There has to be a way... But the ambergris, although I come close with a cistus tincture that I make, there's still nothing like the real thing... Andrine

A word of caution, though: do make sure to buy yours from a reputable supplier (start with the ones who participate here) because from what I understand it's hard to completely remove from the absolute the solvents used to produce the concrete. I don't know a lot about the chemistry involved; I just know that I have used orange flower absolutes that smelled like they should have been able to strip the finish from my furniture; however, the ones I have bought from good suppliers have been breathtakingly beautiful. ~B

I can't wait to try it I haven't ordered from any of the suppliers here yet, since I haven't ordered anything new since I've come across this group but plan to do so real soon when I get the chance. This group is so great, I'm happy to be a part of it.
