Would you recomend what essential/fragrant oil I should buy to give

oldfashioned smell to perfume.

Many say orris fills the bill. I tend to agree.

Any others?

Orris has that powdery dreamy scent, which (especially in combination with rose)

recalls vintage lipstick for me.  Other possibilities are anything that evokes

violets, and lavender.  All of those take me back to Grandma's jewelry box.

How old fashioned were you looking for? 1950s? 1930s? 1900? 1850?

2000 BC? There will be different ingredients for different eras of

" old " .

Cheers!
