Guest guest
Warning: Long Post I wanted to give you all some of the resources that I have been rooting around for, (besides Vetiver and galangal...) HO HO HO These are all direct links to free PDF versions of the Old Books, and since old books are predominantly dealing with naturals, they seem to be a prime source for recipes, extraction data, ideas, and information, although the information may be a bit dated. Don't ask me too much about them, because, assuredly, I have not read them all yet,or even one of them yet... BUT, thy are a wealthy fount of knowledge for all of this group. You will need a copy of Adobe Reader, to open these files... http://get.adobe.com/reader/ After downloading them for myself, I offer a few hints for you to do so: 1. Just try to download them one at a time. I tried multiple downloads, and when I tried four at once, they all stopped downloading. Doing them one at a time seemed to allow each to complete better 2. You may have to download each a number of times for each to complete. Even doing one at a time, and even with my stellar Fiber Optic Internet service, which is quick as a bunny, it took several times to complete some of these. So when they stop loading, and stall, close the window, and request the file again. This time, you should get more of it. If it stalls again, try again, until completed. Rinse and repeat. Then you can save the file to your harddrive. Hint: Copy the file name you want to use before you try to save the file ( " save page as " ), *OR*, page through the opened Document to the title page, and then you can read the book title, and type in what you want to save it as. Warning: Some of these files are over 50MB. Warning: some URL addresses may be on the next line, and the next line. Please make sure to copy and paste repeatedly, until you get the whole URL copied into your browser The Art of Perfumery: And Methods of Obtaining the Odors of Plants <http://www.archive.org/details/theartofperfumer16378gut> - Piesse, Septimus, 1820-1882 Book from Project Gutenberg: The Art of Perfumery: And Methods of Obtaining the Odors of Plants http://ia310935.us.archive.org/0/items/theartofperfumer16378gut/16378-h/\ 16378-h.htm NOTE * HTML Version, PDF not available here PDF Version: http://books.google.com/books/pdf/The_Art_of_Perfumery_and_Method_of_Obt\ ai.pdf?id=vPzNF5jwLvIC & output=pdf & sig=ACfU3U1X54j7pMunVkdxh6gWejOjt1pxeQ\ & source=gbs_summary_r & cad=0 And * If you can read French, by the same Author: Des odeurs des parfums et des cosmétiques: histoire naturelle, composition ...
