Guest guest
Someone asked me how it's done when I posted on Facebook that I'm making a phyllo dough pie crust for tomorrow. Pretty darn easy - just unwrap it carefully, and a few layers at a time, place it in a pie plate, brushing with butter. when you think you have enuf layers, put in your filling. Then repeat with the layers on top, butter, etc. Fold the bottom layer excess that is hanging over the side of the pie plate over the top layer, maybe trimming the top layer into a " round " with scissors if you think it's too thick. Poke holes in the top just like a regular crust, brush with butter, etc. This works well with savory filling, too like spanakopita.
