Guest guest
Thank you, I will write my lie down now and read it every day. I'll read Jami's post too. Did you follow the BFL program exactly? Thanks again for the advice. Sha -- Re: Finished! Hi Shana, Thanks for the compliments. I've lost 77 lbs...not all that far from 100! I'd strongly recommend reading Jami's post to . It's so important to change the way you think about yourself. Positive affirmations. Wanna know what I did... I lied to myslef...I lied to myself every single day of this journey. Heck, I even wrote my lie down and made myself read it every day. And then I started to believe the lie and before I knew it, it wasn't a lie it was the truth! My lie to myself was: " I am so happy and thankful now that I am healthy, confident and strong. I am at 19% body fat. I am at 160 pounds. I wear a comfortable size 10. " Until you change your mindset you'll always believe you're that fat girl, or that you're just big boned. It sets you up for self sabotage. Believe that you have it inside of you and you will. And until you believe it, lie!! > > > > > > > > Sunday I finished my second corporate challenge by wrapping > > things up > > > > with picture taking. Guest guest
i've been doing BFL for more than a year and haven't messed with it. For me, the program works " as is. " I don't count calories and I don't add a bunch of insane cardio. I try to make sure I eat clean, watch protion sizes, and push HARD at the gym every day. I goof up, cheat, eat too much or too little some days but I keep going. What I do every day on BFL is something I can do every day for the rest of my life. I made the decision that this wasn't a " fix " or simply a way to accomplish a goal... it's a lifestyle change...for good! > > > > > > > > > > Sunday I finished my second corporate challenge by wrapping > > > things up > > > > > with picture taking. Guest guest
I read somewhere that the act of writing your affirmation is even 'better' than re-reading it each day. So I write it in my journal every morning, when I'm planning my meals and exercise. It was a good lesson for me - because, I thought I knew my affirmations. But for the first couple of weeks, I had to re-read them in order to be able to write them again. Take your pick n At 10:22 AM 6/1/2006, you wrote: >Thank you, I will write my lie down now and read it every day. I'll read >Jami's post too. Did you follow the BFL program exactly? Guest guest
When I used to keep food journals, one thing I would do at the end of every day was write down three things I was grateful for. It could be things that happened that day, something I saw, something I felt, someone I met, something that made me laugh, or just " life " things in general. I always had such negative associations with food and weight that making the little gratitude list went a long way toward changing my attitude and putting things in perspective. It was a constant reminder that there are more important things in life than calories and carbs. > I read somewhere that the act of writing your affirmation is even 'better' > than re-reading it each day. Guest guest
I do a variation of this in my journal. I do 5 things I'm grateful for and/or things I did well that day. The " doing things well " might include having some fun w/my son, turning down a request to preserve my own time, having a great workout, etc. and helps to quiet any inner voice I have telling myself I screwed up a day.
