People in Indonesia and may south eastern asia countries is on a race to plant and producing agarwood artificially from trees. Indonesian mycologyst named DR Erdhy Santoso from Bogor Institute of Agriculture had succeded making certain fungus mix that can make the agarwood tree produce resin within 1-3 years after the tree grows it's full size. This had already proven by y wangko from Bangka island, Bangka Belitung Province. He manage to export 30 tons of low grade ( 1 year of innoculation)/ month to Taiwan from his plantation.
