Guest guest
I have a herniated L4/5 disc with mild DDD with no leg pain. I just have lower back pain. When can I incorporate flexion exercises such as standing cable crunches and leg raises. Also when doing standing cable crunches with a herniated disc is the lower back kept straight when bringing the weight down or can I round out and arc my lower back? Guest guest
Given your condition I would keep my lower back straight. You may want to opt for straight arm pulldowns which strongly activate the abdominal area along with the triceps and lats. Once your disc heals you may return to regular cable crunches. Good luck!
