I'm working on a project for USA T & F to assist in the

analysis and development of elite womens shot putters.

I am trying to gather all of the literature on the

subject that I can. I have found some references that

I am particularly interested in but have been unable

to find the actual articles. While these are not

scientific journals per se, I thought they might be of

value. If anyone has any of the following articles in

hard copy or as pdf files, etc. please let me know.

McCoy, R. et al. (1984). Kinematic analysis of elite

shot-putters.Track Technique, 90:2868-2871.

Bashian A., Gavoor, N., and , B. (1982). Some

observations on the release in the shot put. Track and

Field Quarterly Review 82(1):12.

Bosen, K.O. (1985). A comparative study between the

conventional and rotational techniques of shot Track

and Field Quarterly Review(1):7-11.

Jolly, S. & Crowder, V. (1982) A comparison of the

traditional and the

rotational methods of putting the shot. Track and

Field Quarterly Review

82(1):13.

Ariel, G.B., (1980). Biomechanical analysis of shot

putting. Track and Field Quarterly Review, 79: 27-37.

Ariel, G.B.(1973). Biomechanical analysis of the

shot-put utilizing the center of gravity displacement.

Track and Field Quarterly Review, 73: 207-210.

Ariel, G.B.(1973). Computerized biomechanical analysis

of the world's best shot-putters. Track and Field

Quarterly Review, 73: 199-206.

I've contacted, Track Coach (formerly Track

Technique), Dr. Ariel, US Track Coaches Association,

and Track & Field Coaches Review (I was told this is

what used to be Track & Field Quarterly Review) but

have had no success. If anyone can help it would be

greatly appreciated and I will gladly post the list of

my results when I am finished compiling my references.

Thanks.
