I would talk to your GP about your child's bowel problems, and say you'd like to try VSL3 because of its high potency, and you know of other children with autism who have responded very well to it. Maybe show them this study:http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/20453678 When the GP checks to see if VSL3 is on the prescribing list, they'll see that the sachets are on the list but the capsules aren't. Then you could maybe either say you've tried the sachets, and your child reacted badly to the gluten and other fillers, or you don't want to try them because your child is very sensitive to these substances. Explain that the capsules are made by the same company, with the same live strains of bacteria, the only difference is they don't have the fillers which your child can't tolerate. Say that you realise the GP won't be able to generate a computer printout prescription, but you know of other families whose GP hand writes the prescription for the capsules.Good luck!Joanne> > >> > > Not heard of it before but VSL3 is available on NHS if you can get a doc to > > > Rx it> > > > > > Mx> > > > > > > > > In a message dated 18/04/2012 11:05:12 GMT Daylight Time, > > > onthesosh@ writes:> > > > > > > > > > > > > > > Hi,> > > > > > Has anyone any experience of using this please?
