Guest guest
Hiya. I saw my surgeon Friday and he said the scans (MRI and CT) looked good. He can do a standard shoulder replacement. So he won't be messin' with my rotator cuff any or much. But he said that there didn't look to be any, and I mean at all, cartilage between ball and socket. I just nodded at him; he asked if I'd already knew that. I told him I wasn't surprised. It hurts like hell, so there's bound to be a reason behind it. And sure 'nough. Anyways, the surgery's scheduled for Tuesday, September thirtieth. He said I'd have to keep it immobile for four to six weeks afterwards. Of course, I'm not quite smitten with the idea, as it's the hand I write with (I can do most everything else with my left) but I've not much choice in the matter. Should be fun...Who am I kiddin'? I'll go flippin' crazy! Might as well throw away the key! I can't believe I won't be able to write for like three months or so. I may still be able to type, between my bouts of being doped up and somethin' new in me yelling, " get me outta here! " My Dad said his mom, my Nana, will be flyin' down from Wisconsin to help out when needed. So that'll be cool. I guess it could be a good thing that I'm goin' ahead and getting the replacement. At least it'll be one less thing I've to worry 'bout later. My Mom used to tell me, " when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. " To which I've always replied, " well, someone left out the sugar. " : ) Straight up, what did you hope to learn about here If I were someone else, would this all fall apart Strange, where were you, when we started this gig, I wish the real world, would just stop hassling me - ¡Real World¢ Matchbox
