I have a friend that has fibromyalgia and I know she would get fevers with it

and feel sick.  Next time I see here I will ask about having rash.

Hello-I am back..

I have missed you all and welcome to all of the newer members(since

about a year or so?)

Does anyone know...When you have had Stills for more than 5 years;can

your ( Ferritin labwork)and Sed. rate be NORMAL?

My NEW rhuemmy here in New Mexico says that I have fibromyalgia- not

stills. I still get fevers and rashes...Is she possibly right? I get

awfully sick for fibro!

Also-How may I have my questions answered on the board;and not in my

home email box? Where can I change that? (Boy-I forgot everything-ha

ha!)

In Luv and empathy;Bram.

Bram,

Yes your labs can go to normal. Mine are normal right now. Doesn't

mean I don't have Stills and I am on medication - I'm certainly not in

remission!

Can you get a second opinoin? The doc says that even after looking at

your entire history?

Bram,

Welcome back. How are the critters?

My rummy always says that as you progress and gor through meds your

labs may not tell the whole picture. Your Ferritin and Sed used to be

quite high, right? In addition, in certain cases of Still's the

Ferritin is not always elevevated. Dr. Cush's criteria put Ferritin as

one of the minor markers. It is just another piece of the puzzle. If

your Ferritin is really really high along with the clinical pictire and

some of the labs then it is (or was) highly likely to be Still's.

As Marty indicated inhis post to you, a doc getting engaged after 5

years of being treated needs to look at the past history. We change

over time. That is why some have fevers for an interval of time and

then no more. Or the dragon decides to attack aomething else and

leaves its old organs alone for a bit.

Take care and glad to see you again.

Bram-It's so good to hear from you!!! How do you like your new home? Who are

you seeing for rheum? I know the sed rate can be intermittently normal and

I'm pretty sure the ferritiin level can be too. Ann lotr56@...
