Guest guest
Marty, I never knew you were into politics. I have a very good friend that has tried, once again, to get the county commission seat but has once again, lacked support. Not us, though we have different parties we've supported him as much as possible, we seemed to be on the " same page " . We're not allowed to speak of politics nor religion at work (understandable) but customers will often bring up one or the other. I've learned how to bow out of that conversation gratiously but one of my baggers, a older gentleman, was caught in " the talk " as they say, and has been written up. Poor guy. Well, it's early and I must try to find my way upstairs again so I can shower. I have a horrible feeling that work is going to call me. Hurricane Ike seems to be causing quite a panic here. Take care and be well and kiss that beautiful wife of yours for me. Ellen

Guest guest
As my husband would say, " I thought I was wrong once but I was mistaken. " I understand what you mean about your pastor. Our Rabbi, until recently, was the same way. He " woke up " after his heart surgery and realized the money people weren't doing anyone any good other than to keep the Temple afloat. It is the poor Synagogue mice (like me) that do the work with people and children that really counts. He is also quite the political junky and also quite opinionated about it. Again, he's learned he's not always the end all be all. Now the Rabbi is laid up once again after falling at Walgreens and broke his hip and shoulder. He's been in the hospital and rehab for the past three weeks and we're not sure if he'll make it to the High Holy Days services. If nothing else we'll bring it to him, via the Synagogue mice. Ike, by the way, is kicking my butt but TS Hanna is getting in her punches too. I have to go take another pain killer and it's only been two hours since my first dose. Life is very interesting in Florida during hurricane season. Take care and be well, darling. Ellen
