There is no other reason that they would put you through that than because you are 19. Boys, if I were your mother, I'd be marching up there and LOSING it on them. Can you get your doctor to write a note saying 'Rickycat has Still's, and it's not fun. " or something? Or have your RA call the hospital local to your college? This just made me LIVID!! Not knowing what Stills is, is one thing. Doctors are only human, and there are so many weird things out there. But implying that you might be playing some game with it is completely another. Guest guest
darling: I'm so sorry you've had to go through this at all. May I suggest you get a hold of Bob (oldgoat, a.k.a. Dad) and ask him to send you a few brochures on our little pet,the dragon. This way you are prepared, G- d forbid you have to visit the ER again or see someone else that is clueless. As for your meds; honey, did you have a full supply of your Tramadol when you went to campus? Is there some way your parents could've brought them to you or even mail them perhaps? I've been without my pain meds, I'm not exactly someone you'd want to be around during those times. Now, I will tell you I've tried all kinds of mind over matter methods when it comes to managing discomfort, forget managing pain. You know, meditation, deep breathing, etc. I will say, that when the pain level is fairly low, these methods are wonderful! But when the joints start screaming louder and louder, forget breathing - crawling under the covers and crying works for me. Everyone, however, has their own method of dealing and you might need to find yours in case you run out again. Feel better darling, and keep us informed as to how you are doing, Take care and be well. Ellen

Hang in there man..... Alan Stint in the ER So I don't have any way of getting my prescriptions while here at College.
