Guest guest
I am a consumer of raw dairy. It took me a long time to find a source in the Washington D.C. area, so I am keen to keep abreast of developments that might affect the availability of the products I love to consume. My interest is as much culinary as health-oriented. I had no particular health problems to begin with, so I sought out raw milk products for their superior taste and nutritional value. Eating local, organic, whole, unprocessed food is very important to me. So is consuming animal products that only come from animals that are given the opportunity to live in accordance with their natural instincts. Aged raw milk cheese has always been easy for me to find, either imported cheeses from the grocery store or locally-produced ones at the farmers' market. However, I had to really go out of my way to find a source for milk, cream, and butter. Finally, I found a buyer's club almost a year ago. I have since been amazed by some of the properties of these products -- cream that whips in 30 - 60 seconds!! The flavor of the butter!! Anyway, I love good food and I can never get enough information about how it is produced. Alisa A. Washington DC ajohnson@...
