It may take me a few days to find the info. We moved last year, and I know I still have it, I just don't know exactly where at the minute.

I do know that people were using it with dairy cattle as long ago as the early 70's, possibly even the late 60's, and one of the things that the dairyman using it noticed was an increase of anywhere for 0.5% to 1.0% increase in butterfat, which meant a little more money on their milk checks.

We have personally used it for horses, goats, calves, dogs, cats, chickens.

And never had any health problems. If anything, they all showed better overall condition, coat, skin, weight, everything.

I too would love to have some hard facts about this product. I first started hearing about it 2 years ago and not long after that someone from a group of mine posted that you couldn't use it if you presented your products as organic~ seems kind of riduculous if it's natural as the term organic has become so adulterated. But then some people say sls (sodium laurel sulfate) is all natural because it's derived from coconut. Anyway it would be great to get further info. Thanks Deb!Lucinda in PA>> Somewhere I have a breakdown. My parents have been in the business for years.> I do know that you could drink it yourself though. I wouldn't want to but you could.> It is all natural, phosphate free, organic, and biodegradable.> If I can ever find my copy of a booklet called "Shakleeizing your Farm" written by a distributor many years ago, I will try to scan it all into one document and put it in the files.> Deb Ferrell

Our chickens always drank with the goats as they were running loose.

If you have them in their own pens, I would use the 8 drops to a gallon for them.

I've scrolled through the posts and cannot find mention of any worms

that the Basic H doesn't get rid of but my little mind is telling me

there was something mentioned. Could you repost it please. I'm putting

info together for our favorite vet as well as myself.

Thanks,

Belinda

I asked about this question over on the Odairy list and the certifiers said it is not on the allowed list because the company wont release the ingredients list. the certifiers said that it is the most requested addition to the allowed list. Just an FYI for those of you who are thinking of certification. Aliza

Basic H doesnt affct migrating parasites such as liver flukes, heart

worm, or meningeal worm, except when they are in the digestive

system . Basic H is NOT systemic, meaning, it does not enterinto the

bloodstream and in to the tissues of the animal like other

anthelmentics do.

It works in the intestinal tract and in the stomach. Since it works

mechanically " the animals do not develop a resistance to it...kind of

like being hit by a truck, no matter how many times you stand in

front of a moving truck,

it will still hurt ;-)

I am still looking for the chemical analysis that an individual had done a zillion years ago.

I wonder if when I find it and post it, if that might help get it certified.
