Hi Keri,

I've been reading with interest your posts about your child playing outside

alone.I agree it isn't a great idea in this world we live in today.While I am

much older than you,I can vividly remember thos days!I have 3 children and they

were 3 years from my first to my 3rd.My daughter was 3 years and 20 days

when I brought home our 3rd child! I felt like I was running a daycare,which

like Melt said, didn't exist back then.Although I didn'thave Stills yet,I had

numerous surgeries and illness' in those days,I think I was working my way

toward Stills. I don't know if you actually know your neighbors well,but what my

neighbors did was ,one Mom or Dad would watch the kids (12 of them) for an hour

and then switch off if something came up or we didn't feel well.It is only a

suggestion, and it worked for us, maybe it will for you also.
