CA hearing from Aajonus' point of view... Hi, everyone, To read some of the details of the hearing, I included Organic Pastures Dairy's (OPDC) view of the event below. I testified on the expert panel for pro raw milk and anti-coliform restrictions. Although the ultimate conclusion by Senator Dean Florez was that the new coliform regulations were superfluous at ensuring safe raw dairy and he admitted that raw dairy is an entirely different product than pasteurized dairy, that pasteurization destroys important health- giving bacteria, and regulations should differ to retain important bacteria in raw dairy, his intent is not as noble as some believe it to be. After he continually pushed for and praised his idea for us to create a HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point) for raw dairy, ..........................
