Guest guest
Has anyone had their period come more frequently after starting MTX or Prednisone? I'm on my second month of MTX and third month of prednisone, I felt like my monthly visitor was coming quicker than normal but this time only 10 days elapsed between the end of one and the start of another. My cycle has always been regular so I'm concerned. I've read both meds can make them irregular but more like missing them altogether not getting more frequent. I'll bring it up with my doctor on Monday just wondering if this has happened to any other ladies and what if anything could you do about it? Guest guest
Hello Mandi, OMG you must have been reading my mind. I was just going to talk about this exact subject. I too had been pretty regular with my " flowing " until being put on the same 2 meds. As of Dec 05 I have had 2 periods a month with no advice from docs on how to stop this. What makes things worse for me though is almost all my cramps feel like labor pains. I feel like I'm giving birth all over again. That sucks. I'm sorry that I have no advice to share that had been passed on to me, but just know that you are not alone. Guest guest
no birth control In a message dated 3/29/2008 1:25:42 P.M. Eastern Daylight Time, chubs@... writes: Mandi, I had that problem, but my guess was that it was a mixture of birth control pill and Prednisone. When I'm on just the Prednisone, I don't have a problem. But with the pill and Prednisone, I have spotting from day 10 to day 15. Are you on the pill?
