Guest guest
Mine went somthing like this. I had a hystorectomy in Feb (was able to keep ovories) of 2006 recovered 6 months later started to feel so tired all the time low back pain and hip pain wrist pain. Off and on stiff neck felt like coming down with the flu. Saw my doctor he said I must be getting over a virus of some kind. I was still dealing with wrist pain with hand going numb and tired all the time. October of 2007 I came down with sore throat with the stiff neck pain and joints in wrist, elbows, and shoulders also involved bad fever of 103 felt terrible. Er Dr said high sedrate suspected Auto ammunine and needed to see RD. I saw my primary first and he looked at blood work and said no its Hypothroid put me on Lythroxine it seemed to give me more engergy but joint pain got worse and now going into knees and having hot flashes and warm off in on all day feeling ill. No rash yet but then switched to actualy sinthroid for Hypo and then started to see a red rash on my throat thought it had something to do with my thyroid didn't think much off it. Noticed it getting bigger over days and then more often when I would take a shower or get overheated and having those hot flashes. Getting weaker by the day in and out of Er not finding anything wrong but high sedrate could hardly walk sore throat before a real bad time and stiff neck. The rash then started on my upper arms and back all over neck and throat. Took pictures tried to see only RD in town he was booked also taking no new patints. I then went out of town Feb the first week of Feb through a snow storm so I would not miss my appoint ment the next morning. I got a hotel room with huby to see RD Dr out of town for the next morning. I was on the internet and found Stills web sight 2 days before Apt with RD looked at rashes and read all about it sounded just like me, rashes looked like mine. My husband thought the one picture was of my chest and I said no its another womens. He was shocked said we need to take you out of town RD out of town told me I did have Stills and He said I did good searching on Google LOLt! That t I was right on the money with that diagnoses. I also since then saw RD doctor localy got apt last Friday and he agreed with his secound opionion that it indeed was AOS. I start 20 mg of Methotrexate on Friday and down to was lowered off 40 since January from Primary Dr. MY new 25 Mg of pred this week started a few flares over the weekend with lowering from 30 to 25 but hanging in. Im being lowered on Sinthyroid now to from 50 mg to 25 and 5 of cytemel wich is a t3 helper for the sinthyroid im a slower converter of the t3. RD DR said that I should lower Sinthyroid because the Methotrexate might kick my thyroid in gear also and I will over do it and get the shakes amd or go hyperthyroid. Any how, my story is a bit diffrent because I started with Joint pain first then the rash and fevers came next.Thas this happend to? Anyone else? Is this odd for Stills or does this disease menifest itself diffrent in dirrent people? you can email me at rainofawildflowe@... Also new stuff is happening and wondered if anyone else has leg pain and arm pain like in the muscles and this is driving me nuts! maybe the Pred is doing it but I get deep leg and back spasms like twiches feels like a baby kicking me. oh it goes on all night soo frustrating!! I could show it to my husband the other night it was so bad I had him watched my left leg, looked like there was a bug in it trying to get out! Anyone else get these? Thanks Stills buds Ann Fultz Re: Stills Symptoms?? Mandi...I didn't feel well for about 2 months prior to getting hammered, but I just felt like it was a flu or something. Than I awoke @ 3:30 AM in mid January of '04 unable to move, with uncontrollable chills and a devastating headache, unable to speak as my throat was swollen almost shut..etc. Add to that a fever over 105. For me it is hard to say, as I am about positive that I've had a variant of this since I became violently ill after receiving my vaccinations in the military in late June of 1990. Hope this answers your question. Guest guest
, I don't know if you were just having a muscle reaction but I have been told many years ago that Still's can and does affect the muscles, tendons and linings of any parts of our bodies, so given that I wouldn't be surprised that you may have these symptoms as well but you should write down your symptoms to share with your doctor, especially when newer diagnosed so they can see if it's the Stills perhaps or make sure it's not anything else. I have had the inflammation of the muscles and it is very painful as well and do get muscle spasms at times.
