Guest guest
Hey Larry, man you really brought back a memory!Back in '76 I had a vaginal hysterectomy.I had a couple of friends come to the hospital to visit me.They had always visited me whenever I was hospitalized. This time when I came out of surgery,my white count was 3! Was I getting sick even back then?My friends said they thought I was dying.I remember I felt like I was.It took 3 months to get to the bottom of normal (white count).Just thought I'd throw that in. Guest guest
Imuran can effect the white count too. That is one of the tests they use to monitor the side effects of Imuran. I have a CBC done every 2 weeks to check my anemia, but my pulmonologist and RD are copied so they can monitor the WBC. Anyone else have the joys of coordinating blood draws from the various doctors' orders? I have a CBC and potassium every 2 weeks and then a whole slew of tests, including a CBC for my RD to monitor the Remicade, and then Lipids and glucose for my PCP and RD to monitor the effects of the roids. I just have them copy all results to everybody. Everything is in a calendar and Cheryl is always on top of it. Better than me figuring it all out when I have brain farts (oops! I mean Brain Fog lol) Fuzzy > > This time when I came out of surgery,my white count was 3!
