Guest guest
I have finally found a source of raw milk. A family of 10 (with one more on the way) live nearby and have extra goat milk I can purchase. They do feed some grain though, and the mom told me that it is not organic as they can not afford organic feed. I asked how much grain they got and she said it is not " free choice grain " but " a couple pounds " . Every time I visit, her older boys have the goats out munching on brushy hedgerows on their property although the area is not fenced in. I don't worry about safety so much as their entire family including small children drink this milk, but I was wondering about the effects of feeding grain. The only other milk I can buy is pasteurized, non homogenized milk as selling raw milk is illegal in this state. I have purchase some and it tastes wonderful. What do you guys think?
