Kathy thanks for your input, sorry I have been a long time replying.

I have limited access to the computor.

I was interested to hear that your daughter also had obsessions

about her eyes. Did she actually try to injure her eyes?

On reading Dr Chansky reply I am still not sure now what is going on

with my son. He has recently been fitted with fixed braces on his

teeth and is now constantly getting the urge to take the braces

off. I have taken Dr Chansky advice in that I have again told my

son that should he get the urge to injure himself he must come and

find me immediately to discuss it, although I am obviously not

around at school. As I have indicated before he is very reluctant

to discuss ocd and all we can do is be patient with him and hope

that one day he will realise the medication that has been offered

and visits to the psychiatrist are to help him.

If anyone else has any ideas about actually carrying out obsessions

I would be pleased to hear.
