Guest guest
, About a year ago my throat almost closed up completely! My doc shot me with two shots of some form of prednisone that day and told me if he didn't see an improvement the next day he was going to put me in the hospital and intubate me because it was getting worse and not better. I had almost to way to swallow!!! Luckily the shots helped a tiny bit, and he repeated the shots and then did a taper down pack..... this worked, but I really think my throat has not been the same. When I look in my throat with a flashlight, I see my uvula (the punching bag!) is longer and puffier and my tonsils are also in a constant state of being larger than normal..... but it's just a mild sensation (or could that be masked by the percocet?) so I just try to keep an eye on it now and then when my glands feel larger than usual, such a mom, and a nurse, always looking and feeling!!! Probably a horrible patient!!! LOL -Jo In a message dated 9/1/2008 12:34:45 A.M. Eastern Daylight Time, rickycat@... writes: Does anyone else have any problems swallowing? Occasionally I'll try to swallow and my throat hitches up a few times. I talked with my Mom about it, because she's a speech pathologist, and she mentioned it could be Still's related. -- - [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] **************It's only a deal if it's where you want to go.
