Hi Keri,

Thanks for your message.

I guess I am still looking for the right medications. I had a chiropractor

who tried to get me off all my medications. You see, he had brain cancer

and was not given long to live. He changed his lifestyle and got healthy.

His cancer went in to remission, he stopped all drugs, gave up his job as an

ER doctor and became a chiropractor instead. He had me convinced I could

beat this the same way. But my pain increased as I decreased the meds. I

was all but off when I started to flare again. I had to start back on the

pain meds and the sleeping meds in order to cope with day to day life.

I guess I am still looking for the right medications.

The odd part is, the stuff that should have worked, prednisone and

methotrexate, just seemed to make matters worse. One thing that did help

was a strong liquid NASID called Trilisate. Not sure about the spelling.

But it's benefits were moderate at best.

Will keep working on it.

Thanks,

Darv

Hi Darv-

It seems that this is the norm when you are first getting diagnosed. Back

and forth, you have this... no you have this..... no you definitely have

this. That is because Stills is so hard to diagnosis. And NO Stills patient

has the same symptoms. But if 4 doctors have said that you have it, and only

1 says you don't then I would say you pretty much have it. (but I am by no

means a doctor, I am just speaking from what you have written)

This disease does has it's up's and down's as you have probably experienced

but you can live a (soo soo normal, happy) life. You will have your good

days and bad. But once the Doc's find your right cocktail of drugs,

hopefully you will have more good then bad. Welcome back and Hang in there.

I hope that you find some relief soon.

Love and Support,

Keri in CA
