Guest guest
Dear , It's so great that you wrote to us. You came to the right place for the truth. We were all there where you are now, really wanting implants to change our self image. I myself, came into money when a relative died and I saw the opportunity to make my breasts bigger. I was told that they were saline and I did research like you are doing now. I wrote lots of letters and asked lots of questions. I never was told the real truth that saline implants leak silicone into the body. My implants ,without my knowledge had been leaking the entire 8 years that I had them. I became sick within about 6 months after implantation. My symptoms began with chronic fatique and chemical sensitivies, I couldn't go anywhere without getting very sick, I gained alot of weight for my small frame. I had always been 119 but within months I was 135-140. I had thyroid disease, fibromyalgia, brain disfunction and seizures. I have been unable to really be a MOM to my children because I am always sick. When we want to do something. I have to wait until just minutes before the event to see if I can really make it. Last year, I was diagnosed with arthritis! Within 1 month, my right implant ruptured. We didn't know at the time. We smelled a discusting smell that was like metal and garbage. The next day, I had a massive seizure. Since I had recently been diagnosed with arthritis, The hospital and doctors were checking my brain. Nobody looked at my chest. It wasn't until I got home and got undressed that I noticed my breast had deflated! Within 24 hrs, I had a fever of 104 and couldn't function. I couldn't speak properly or hold a pen. I had them removed within 48 hrs. Since then, about 50 % of my syptoms have gone away. I still suffer very badly with arthritis and have to take heavy doses of pain killlers. My life is so very different than what I had wanted for myself. I wish I could take it all back. Much of my life is spent de toxing to try to get all the silicone out of my body. You see, even when the implants are removed, they have done their damage. My immune system is comprimised and I am ill constantly. I have to lie to people that ask how I am doing. Nobody wants to hear all the time how I am really doing, except maybe this group. So I lie and say I'm doing great. The truth is I am in constant pain from fibromyalgia, and arthritis in my hips and neck. I can no longer climb stairs. I can not walk far, except to the end of my driveway. My looks have changed as I look older than I am. Now that I have my real breasts back... I wonder why I ever made the choice to change what I was given. I wish I could go back in time.. Take care and let us know what you decide. Guest guest
I am so thankful to hear these stories it really makes me wonder for sure about what to do. I am so so so sorry for what you have been through my dear. What did you have gel or saline>? Is there one that seems worse than the others or are they all the same. I was reading that Dr Kolb thinks that saline smooth implants are safe in the archives of this group. Is that really true? I understand she has them now and says she is fine. How can that be? Thanks and bless you dear In , seabrez@a... wrote: > Dear , > It's so great that you wrote to us. Guest guest
Dr. Kolb was having a lot of problems with her saline implants 10 years ago. She does a very strict detox diet and has been able to keep them, but I have my doubts that she is problem-free. We had a long talk some years ago and she was not problem-free then. Guest guest
, I went to Dr Kolb and she told me after a full evaluation that my implants were making me very sick, smooth salines. She did my explant. I couldn’t be happier. I also followed her protocol for detoxing. She was very useful at getting all those metals out and holistic medicine. Although she has them ,and her and I talked about why, and it is more like a plastic surgeon testing her metals and other issues while having them, kind of like a study on herself. I don’t agree on it, but I' not her. (Dr Kolb is very eccentric, to say the least, but not bad, and I still admire her.) And the information and testings made by a doctor that has them, and the issues that arise, may one day be very powerful for the truth to come out. And all I do know, is from my experience, she informs, speaks out, is a holistic doctor, and explants wonderfully. That’s all that mattered to me,. She will not tell you that they are safe and informs all her patients of the risks, trying first to emphasis a lift. She did admit after my surgery, that she had believed the smooth were safer, not meaning safe, safer than others- until I surprised her, and got my out. I was the last 6 and half hour surgery. And that she hopes, hers wont be like my situation. She hasn’t seen ,many women with salines for that long, most rupture before mine did at almost 9 years. it was a messy situation. She is not entirely healthy and will not say that at all. She had ruptures silicone gels replaced with salines. Re: Re: To _Franz The real truth.
