Guest guest
Hi Everyone! My insurance has been bulking at paying for my MTX. I take MTX via a sub Q shot. It is 20mg per week which is 0.8ml. For a one month supply it costs me about $10 at Wal-Mart. I do have prescription coverage through my parents Farm Bureau membership that kicks in if my insurance doesn't cover medication.. But that only gets me a 10% discount. I know that I had to pay for the pills once, but I know that at most it cost me $20. I use to take 20mg on the pills as well. By the way these prices are for Generic Methotrexate. I use the pharmacy at our local Wal-mart. I use to use Rite-Aid, but when I had to pay for my meds out of pocket for 3 months I learned that Wal-mart was a lot cheaper for the same medication. Methotrexate is so common there should be no reason you have to pay $75 for a month supply. Fayette, OH
