Welcome to all the newbies! I'm mostly a lurker due to work and school

schedules, but I get so much from this list that I can't even begin to put it

into words. This is by far the best group of people I've ever had the

privilege to " know " . :-)

Wow, that is amazing, !! Tae Bo talk, huh? ;) Let's see......well, ever

since I got back from the World Training Center, I've been adding weights to my

workout. I will do 30 minutes of Tae Bo, and then about 10 minutes of weights,

then another 30 minutes of Tae Bo. I remember some people here used to talk

about doing something like that. So far I really like it! The weights give me a

chance to " rest " , and then I can give my all to the last half of the workout!!

I've also been trying to stretch more *after* the workout, which is something

I've never really done. I do know it helps my muscles to not be as sore.

I've also been seriously considering joining a gym, so I can get more resistance

training and weights. I'm not looking to get bulky, but my muscles need some

more toning. And our gym also offers yoga classes, and other stuff that is

getting me excited judt talking about it!! (LOL, never in my life did I think I

would ever get this excited about exercise!). Oh, and my mom said she is

thinking about going to the gym to use weights, too! Her doctor has said she

can't do Tae Bo , but I told my mom she could modify it down to her level. She

said she might try the Instructional someday, so who knows?

Anyway, welcome to all the new people who I have not welcomed! Sometimes I get

behind on that. Please feel free to join in our conversations!

Hey, what a great idea (easy for me to say, since I'm one of those who can't

do taebo right now, LOL)! Everybody do a great taebo workout for those of

us can't (in our name of course) and then report back here how it went. I

live vicariously through your posts.

, I am so excited for you (and your Mom). I was hoping she and your

father would be motivated to exercise after watching 's class. It's

hard not to be, LOL. Good for you for adding in the weights and stretching.

I think they will add the perfect finishing touches to your tae-bo body.

Men really develop nicely in the upper body from resistance training.

Definitely join the gym! It sounds like a good one. The variety sounds

great. You should meet like-minded people there, which is always fun.

Plus, if you convince your Mom to join (which she should; gyms are great for

older people with the variety of classes and machines geared for low impact

workouts), you'll have rides!

Darcy, the 21DC is going well. I am faithfully drinking 64oz of water each

day. Also, I am working out in the morning before work and in the evening.

I was afraid to mention that before because I didn't think I could do it!

How's everyone else doing with the 21DC?

That is so awesome! I'm glad to see that there is a big interest in

TaeBo. Some of my non-TaeBo friends seem to think that it was a trend

that died a couple years ago, and therefore think that me wanting to

get certified as an instructor is not a great idea. Stuff like this

message board keeps me going!

Does anyone know if there are currently any certified instructors in

the NY area? Or would I be the first?

Just curious. Welcome to all the newbies (of which I am one, from a

couple weeks ago!)

The person who can answer your question - - usually can't post

during the week because of her schedule and commute. I'll forward your
