I just wanted to focus on what Kacey said about being ready for

hopefully some new people making their way to our site for support

and advice. Please lets try hard not to get off subject or to get

in arguements or hurt feelings. We don't want to discourage new

people from joining. I have to say that if I was someone visiting

this site for the first time and seeing some of the posts of late

dealing with hurt feelings due to judgements of others, I might

think this site wasn't the place to go for help. Also, I am in a

Community Bible study and we are studying First Corinthians. Our

lesson this week was on leaving judgement to God...none of us is

able to read the intent of another's heart or actions. I think

there is way too much judging on this site and defensiveness.

Again, we have to set aside our differences and put our cause

first. I know how easy it is to get our feelings hurt, so again, I

am just asking that each of us take a second look at our post before

hitting the SEND button to make sure there is nothing offensive or

harsh sounding in what we have written, and nothing to detract from

the purpose of this group. And when we are tempted to reply to a

perceived injustice, to reply likewise in a manner that is not angry

and defensive. (So that I am don't cause confusion...I am not

referring to you Annie and your attempt to straighten out with julie

that you were not the poster of the questionable posts.) But ,

here is an example where you could have more carefully chosen your

words in the first place so that no one would have gotten upset with

your reply anyway. I have seen so many times where 2 people have

gone back and forth when kind compassionate words could have avoided

the whole incident in the first place. We don't always have to

respond when we get upset. Remember Saint Frances of Assissi said

that we should seek more to understand than to be understood.

I am not trying to flame any fire. I just like all of you so much

and hate to see tempers flare, feelings hurt, people leave, and most

of all---others be disappointed in this site and leave without

getting to know us and receive the help they may desparately need.

Thanks for allowing me to share what is in my heart.

You are right Kathy. There are always going to be differing opinions. There's nothing wrong with that as long as we stay united in our goal to provide help and support to each other and those who come here for comfort and help. There are probably many more women than we know who read the posts and don't participate right away. I think if I had come here during one of the more intense disagreements I probably would not have stayed. Especially now with Kacey's article coming out we need to make sure that we are not turning women off when they read that first post. Love, Anita Re: Praise report! -I just wanted to focus on what Kacey said about being ready for hopefully some new people making their way to our site for support and advice. Very nicely said, Kathy. I'm glad you are part of a Community Bible Study, (of women?) I've once be involved with them, an studied Romans. I perhaps should look for another, but my church is so active I'm pretty busy. As for the negativity, we need a Christian World View. Some are farther along than others. I like this group because of Patty's Christian influence and many of the women do seen to come from a Godly perspective. Having been as sick as we are, does leads us to lean on Jesus for a healing and the answers. I believe Jesus lead me to SS to get the anwers I need. Hugs, King.mikat828 <mikat828@...> wrote:

Kathy, I didn’t think the person I was responded to, after reading so many argumentative comments was truly a women that needed help. I believed she was an outsider, and was trying to stir things up.I have never made this mistake before. I am usually pretty good about not jumping and being harsh. I have apologized so many times for this.
