Pam,

I wouldn't want to be without my " TENS " unit! Remember, though,

mine was just a $100...and I had to have a prescription too! I

probably wouldn't have gotten one if it would have cost me thousands

of dollars. But it truly does help me! I should keep it with me

all the time! The neat thing about the Nikken TENS unit is that you

can acupunture/zap your ears in many different points! This is so

great because your ear is actually connected with EVERY PART of your

body! So a spot on there represents all of your part that are

aching! Think of it like a small embryo curled up.....it just would

be upside down if you heald it up to your ear. So each of the body

parts are the same as if you took that embryo and held it upside

down...for example, the spin is along the outer part of your

ear...and head would be at your ear lobe.

So basically, when I'm so desparately hurting...I make sure I zap

all the points on my ear! It does the trick without zapping

everything in particular (although I do this too, but this takes

even longer!).

It definitely helps me. I'd look into it more If I was you! It

might just give you some more relief!

I guess it's worth a shot. Do all TENS work the same - to do what

you were talking about to your ear? It sounds kind of weird, but

I can't speak for all TENS units...I'm assuming that they all don't

work with the ear. I just think everything's different...and I think

that sometimes there are cables and stuff and you hook up a part of

your body to a machine. I've heard about this option too.
