Guest guest
Stacey, Are you going to see Dr. Huang? I already talked to them about saltwater implants, except for capsular which I have, wrong placement of implant and infection, these are safe. I am debating if I should get mine out and get a lift or replace with a new set.Elainestacydel34 <stacydel34@...> wrote: Lynda I am sorry to hear about your terrible implant nightmare. I want to tell you since your too busy I did go to check out Dr Huang's website and it does seem very much positive or pro implant. She has a link to the site I have been going to implantinfo.com right on her website. In fact I wrote to her, I am still waiting for her to respond. I gather from her website she does quite a few implantations, no where does she talk about removal or implant illness. She seems to like Textured implants. I would not get those as they are firmer and less natural.I get the feeling your too busy to help women with their questions or maybe your not feeling good. Hope you feel better soon.I will post my response to my questions to Dr Huang about implant safety if and when she answers it. In , Lynda wrote:> I am sure I read some of your other posted messages. Guest guest
I am too busy to argue over doctors. Dr. Huang does an excellent job of removal, with or without a lift. I have not linked her website to mine and told her it was because of her link to 's website. I help women daily. All our plastic surgeons who remove implants also put them in. I wish it were not so, but it is. I cannot tell her what to put on her website, any more than I can tell any other human being what to do or not do. I would trust her implicitly to remove an implant properly and leave a great cosmetic result. Lynda At 06:18 PM 11/9/2004, you wrote: >Lynda I am sorry to hear about your terrible implant nightmare. Guest guest
Dear Lynda I am sorry if I somehow offended you I really am surprised that you say that all PS put in implants because I posted Dr Melmed's email right here on this site that he does not put them in, so at least one PS doesn't do them. I will find out for myself what the other ones do and then will inform the group. I was surprised to be honest with you myself, I too thought they all put them in, but after my email with Dr Melmed I was surprised. It is this group that changed my mind, mostly Patty's letter, about getting implants. I am trying to find the truth out that is all. Sorry that this upsets you Lynda I feel for your health problems deeply , Lynda <coss@p...> wrote: > I am too busy to argue over doctors. Guest guest
Well you have the right to get them if you want just like I do, but textured ones are very firm and I have heard they are glued to your chest, this is information from s site, and then the information in Patty's story is very moving to me. good luck , l love <briansgirl302@y...> wrote: > Stacey, > Why? Guest guest
Elaine If by saltwater implants you mean saline implants, they are not safe. We are proof of that. Some people will not get ill, and others will. In my book, that doesn't make a product safe. A product is safe if there is no or very little risk. While we don't have statistics, I can assure you that it isn't by any means rare for women to get sick from implants. I think patty just posted an article where Dr. Vasey, a rheumatologist, testified to that being the case. I think also that if you spoke to Dr.Feng, she would tell you just how many sick women she has explanted---including me. I had salines and I got very ill. My best friend has saline and over the past several years has developed all kinds of strange symptoms. THe " saltwater " implants have a solid silicone shell and your body can react to it by an immune response. Also, some of the silicone in the shell can degrade and microscopic pieces can come off. My silicone shell was thinner in some places than in others. That meant that the shell was degrading. sounds like she has some reservations and believe me, she has good instincts. With her body already responding with an immune reaction to her pregnancy--hyperthyroidism--she is probably even higher risk to develop a sensitivity to the implants. Not one woman on this site encourages women to get breast implants. Every last one of us has been devastated by them. This site is primarily for SALINE (salt water) implants. If they are " safe " then why are there hundreds of members on this site who got sick from them? We are on this site to support each other emotionally, to exchange information and ideas, and to help women who come to this site before getting explanted to hear the truth. You will not hear the truth from most doctors. All of my doctors told me that my salines couldn't be making me sick. But interestingly enough, some of my worst symtoms--severe brain dysfunction--left with two weeks of being explanted. I sure wouldn't want it on my conscience encouraging women to get them. If I talked someone into implants, and they got very ill, I would feel responsible. I am not capable of determining which of us will sick from implants and which will not, so I certainly wouldn't ever tell someone they will be by ok getting them. Each person has to make up their own mind. There is risk involved. Considerable risk if you happen to be one of the unlucky ones to get sick. We aren't talking about a cold or the flu. We are talking about ruining your life. More than one women on this site (myself included) thought about suicide as a way out of our overwhelming pain, fatigue, weird symptoms, etc. So stacy, I hope that you do not take the risk. If you lose, you lose so much. And Elaine, I hope that you decide not to get reimplanted. You have been lucky so far, but so was I for several years. You could do the sure thing...lift only..and be happy that you will never have to worry that someday you might get very sick from the foreign body inside of you. I will say a prayer for both of you that God give you a sense of peace about the direction you should take. kathy > > > > > > >My health ins. paid for my explant also due to the grade > IV capsular > > > > > > >contraction. Guest guest
Dr. Melmed has had much experience! Your assumption is totally wrong on that point Elaine. Did you read any of the links I sent you? Enough about pushing Dr. Huang. Please stop. I'm getting sick of hearing about it. Pattyl love <briansgirl302@...> wrote: , I'm glad you told us this because if I decide to replace, I don't want to pick Dr. Melmed for this. He has too little experience. Dr. Huang is the best choice for this because she does replacements all the time and 7 augmentations per week. That's alot of experience It looks like implants are popular in the mile high city. I still want to talk toDr. Malmed if I want a lift, but then I wonder hao many explant surgery and lifts he does, did he tell you? If you decide on implants, Dr. Huang is the doctor to go to.Elaine__________________________________________________

Guest guest
WHOA! Slow down. I am here to learn. Why the anger? Lynda told me this surgeon is the best I could do, I have called her office and looked at her website and feel inclined to agree with Lynda based on what I have learnt so far. The only reason I can think of that you are angry at me is that you don't like this doctor. You may have a good reason or might not. If you feel you do, by all means tell me instead of getting upset with me. You are on the inside, I'm only learning of these people. If you know something, tell it but please don't be mad at me it's not right. No I did not read about Melmed yet because my computer is an old piece of crap and it won't click on all links. I do thank you for sending them though. ElaineTricia Trish <glory2glory1401@...> wrote: Dr. Melmed has had much experience! Your assumption is totally wrong on that point Elaine.
