Guest guest
Sorry, I completely skipped over the stress factor.Yes we all have it.Many of our docs have given us meds to help cope, especially those with familys and no idea how they will be able to support them and not always able to even work. Many of us have to be on disability at least short term until we figure out what is possible with our hurting bodies.Stress has been know to bring on a flare, but if you have someone (and now you do) to talk to about how you feel,it really helps. What is your present experience with your symptoms? Were you working when you got sick?Do you have a family? All those things contribute to stress.Just having Stills which isn't that well known, but is getting more publicity than ever. When I got Stills, it took 4 years for a diagnosis,I think those days are over.It is very important that you know your limitations,so you don't have more pain than you already do.Our symbol is the dragon because when we have a flare we say he is out of his den and breathing fire on us.Our Pres. is Cat Triller a very smart, loving saavy person. We also have Melt, real name ,who is the heart of our group, and Bob and Carole who are everything from our money experts to Mom and Dad to the group. They lost a daughter from Stills complications years ago when practically noone had heard of Stills. Two people who are the bravest people I know. They also have brochures explaining Stills, which you can give out to friends family even doctors,so they understand a little better what Stills is. Sorry for the book!LOL, I just want to welcome you and give you as much info as possible.Write to the group or personally to any member you'd like to.
