My explant and lift cost over $11,000. That doesn't include the

anesthesia, the silicone scan by the radiologist, etc. I could have

gotten 'em out and up for close to the $6K mark locally, but no scan,

no assurance of en block removal technique, lesser experience in

doing natural-looking lifts, and no real vested interest in the

perils of implants (because the FDA say AOK.......) and working with

me to be silicone free. Also, would not have included the super

vitamins/minerals for pre-op/post-op, along with the herbs and Arnica

Montana for post-op. My husband wasn't really comfortable with the

difference initially, but is sold after seeing the end result and

lack of complications post-op. My sister-in-law got explanted by a

local PS and has had dreadful health ever since. I'd bet money he

left the capsule in and/or didn't get all the silicone out. Too many

stay sick after explant until the capsules are removed, totally. Annie

disfigured from them, and a lift. Could cost anywhere out of pocket 3-

6 thousand dollars.

implants -- I had them put in for vanity reasons like many others --

however, they did rupture like so many do -- in fact I hate to say it

but most will, at some point. IF you do not mind further surgeries,

than you might not be bothered by that fact. I have to tell you

something though and I think EVERY plastic surgeon needs to show

every patient thinking about implants a picture of what they become

after a number of years. When I saw mine, I was so disgusted.

- they turned this terrible ugly color -- and the scar tissue

that built around them (which occurs around ALL implants) was so

digusting. The size of it, the blood, the leakage of the implants

throughout my body - all very disturbing to say the least. Anyway -

having them removed was the right thing to do. I just wish I had had

enough insight when I was 23 years old - to know that a decision to

have implants would affect me when I was older. If only someone

could've helped and explained to me that what a woman has on the

inside is so much more important than what she has on the outside --

it's a crucial message -- and one that I hope women all over discover

with the knowledge that we now have about implants. I'm so sorry

that women feel like they have to have something artificial sugically

placed inside their bodies! It's so bizarre when I think about it

now -- I was so lean and fit and young and looked great in my early

20's! Now -- to have that kind of body - whoa! Remember, as you

age -- they start to look flabby and do add some lbs. to how you

look! Some women don't mind that fuller look though. If anything -

do it for your health and the hope to live a long and healthy life --

we have enough problems in the world -- our health becomes the number

one thing when we get older! Trust me! Remember, I wasn't one of

the sick ones!!!! For what it's worth......Be strong! There are so

many other ways you can look good! Kate
