Mandi,

As far as I can see, Stills doesn't have a pattern that one can really follow.

One day(hour) my feet both hurt and one(hour) day it is the hands/wrists.

Now when someone asks how I am, my husband says, 'she has her good moments(days)

and then her bad. Every day seems to be a surprise to me..  Yesterday, it was

my left knee, if I had

a knife in my hand I would just cut it off..if my hands weren't so painful

today. I have tried 2 vicodin the other day for pain but that didnt help..other

days I tried a couple of Tylenol #3...no help. I am

sooooooo tired of this and I have only had it since October 2007. I am

still ( I hate that word) on the methotrexate and I still swell up..I think it

depends on the individual

if something is going to help..what works for one may not work for another...

I remember the day both my feet felt good...I woke up, expecting to walk slow

and painfully and got out of bed and it was like magic ''I could walk " ..I still

(hate the word) can't walk upstairs very well. While I used to just go up them

very fast, I literally have to crawl up....I always tell people, go ahead of me,

I will meet you in an hour. Now I can slowly  and I mean slowly go upstairs

kind of normally.

Very strange feeling not to be able to lift your legs to walk upstairs. But

maybe tomorrow I will wake up and be able to do it..we will see. Hope you feel

better.

I was wondering what kind of pattern if any you all have found to your

inflammation and joint damage. Mine started in my wrists, and an MRI shows

extensive damage...The swelling has gone down almost completely in my left wrist

and

about 70% in my right. I'm thinking this is due to the MTX I'm on my 9th

week or so. What I don't get is if the MTX is working why am I now having so

many problems with my right foot, it began to hurt a little back a month ago

and I was so afraid that my feet would lose their function much like my wrists

and hands have but was told give it time. My foot has gone from a small

amount of pain now and then to me being completely unable to walk twice in the

last two weeks. I literally had to crawl to get around.

Just wondering if this is typical of Stills?
