Guest guest
Hi all, it is into the evening now and finally is sleeping. Today was his shoulder surgery where they went in and removed all the massive amounts of calcification from arthritis, fixed the rotator cuff tear and took a small piece of bone out to free up space. All that and they send him home with me. I know it's all to save money now days but I so wish it were back to the days that they at least kept you overnight especially if it's on a weekend so your not thrown out with the dogs and no one for help should it be needed. They sent him home with this huge drum looking pillow sling set up on his arm and it was not right and I cannot move his shoulder of course but had to adjust it because it was riding up and his elbow was causing his hand to go numb all afternoon. I finally got it back to where it's supposed to be without moving his shoulder and he was able to drift off. Another thing was damn worker comp wouldn't approve the prescription for antibiotics of all things today!!!!!!! Say the adjuster had to approve it and then she is on vacation so they approve the Norco, which I have at home, but no antibiotics! So I had to overdraft my checking account to buy them so they can sit on their thumbs till whenever for me to get a refund. But the point is the guy could be dying and they simply want to make it difficult because they don't like having to pay the claim. I'm sorry folks. I'm hurting and having a bit of a flare myself and going in and out of the pharmacy three times and standing for an hour waiting for them to call everyone to get it sorted out made me hurt, then coming home and setting up his little ice machine, food, drink, bedding moved from one place to the other several times trying to get him settled with the sling/drum. It's all quite much. I don't know if I'm flaring or not because several weeks ago I had a rash on the inside of my thyes that looked similar to still's and only lasted a day without apparent cause and then disappeared just as mysteriously and then a sore throat for two days and then yesterday my elbow so arthritic all morning I couldn't bend it because of the pain but then went away and is fine. I know it will all get better as each days passes but I'm afraid it aint going to be easy on either of us for the next three months the doctor said it would take for recovery. Well all thank you for reading and letting me share, have a good night and I'll be around should anyone want to visit in the next few days. Guest guest
, Was thinking about you and yesterday and glad to hear you all made it through. Wish the emotional buracracy issues did not have to come into play. But will continue to keep you in my thoughts and prayers. As you know, each day will become easier and you will get through this.
