There's two things going on...

1. My Fasting blood sugar levels are high compared to what Mercola says. over 90 is high. My gyn. said over 100 is high. My readings have been 111 and 132.

2. hypo glycemic when my blood sugar dropped after the third hour to a critical low of 41. I was reading about this type of hypo glycemia and its called adrenergic type, and has to do with the adrenals and thyroid. Emm.

I'll be calling my PCP and Gyn tomorrow. I'm scheduled to see a Nutritionist on the 3rd of Nov. Wonder what other tests I can take.

Point is, if I'm crashing 3-4 hours after eatting food, em. Guess I need to avoid high sugar content foods and eat small portions. Hugs, K.anita kessler <AnitaK001@...> wrote:

, Are you sure your gynocologist didn't say hypo glycemia? Your readings are just not high enough for diabetes. Love, Anita

My sister - who has hypogycemia - has similar symptoms (says she also feels tense -- seems crabby to us when her blood sugar drops - if that tip helps you). I agree with Kathy's suggestions. For your headaches, you might want to try several things: 1st try to maintain full deep (from the diaphragm) breathing which you probably are not doing since you are worried and feeling lousy and tense about this (understandable of course) and 2nd look into trigger point self-therapy (you can get books on it from your public library) which will show you how to massage muscles (probably those at the base of your neck-back of your head and others) to relieve the headaches. It is the greatest feeling to know that you have power over these things.

Keep us posted on your progress -- hope you feel better soon!

watch your carbs carefully and eat several small meals with protein. It is important for people with blood sugar irregularity to eat often. Small snacks comprised mainly of protein. Also regular exercise helps control blood sugar quite well. Stress reduction. Making sure your minerals are in balance--especially calcium, magnesuim and potassium. Good luck. I really think cutting the coffee out cold turkey may have precipitated the headaches. People used to caffeine can go through withdrawal. That includes headaches. You might try a more slow cut out. 41! Wow . I must have missed that post. That's really low. No wonder you have a headache. Are you aware that Mercola also says to avoid all grains too? And definitely lots of small meals. Hope you get a handle on this real soon. Let us know what the nutritionist says. I'll look into the grains. Though I like my whole grain bread. Thanks for caring, K.anita kessler <AnitaK001@...> wrote:
