Guest guest
You have worked so hard to get yourself better and I'm so proud of you! I know that we both have been so worried about our toddlers and their possible health problems. I would love to have another baby but I haven't been as strong as you are and done all that terrific detoxing! Quinn is 2 and is super hyper. My friends call him " strong willed " -he is a very difficult child to handle. Also, your marriage has stayed strong through all of this mess, unlike mine. Someday, your baby will know how hard you worked to be able to have a healthy pregnancy. I hope that you don't have too much morning sickness, and all that good stuff. You have just made my week with your wonderful news. You have given hope to all of us who want more babies. Keep us up to date with all your plans! Love you! Guest guest
Daryl, I love you too. You have been through a lot, I know. It means a great deal to get this from one of my mommies. Hey, if Quinn is keeping you busy, then busy is what you need to be! besides, Tyler is 4 now, so you got time, if you ever want to go another round. You got a lot going on Darly. keep hanging in there. You could call me Quinn after hearing his definition. I'm not any better than you Daryl with doing all my detox and rigid diet and lifestyle changes, I'm just 'strong willed" and bullheaded. Like Quinn. Or as we say, I "get mad" To explain this "get mad" thing, let me tell you a story. This is kinda funny, but here it is. I had an old great aunt. She was a pistol and in her last years of life, when her personality remained hard edged like an eagle, but health was beginning to fade, she would literally fight her body to get going. I remember, one time after leaving a baby shower, we were all around my husbands truck, as she was trying to get in it. I was pulling her through that damn seat from the other side. But the trick was so high, it was hard to get her in. Man, she was like a bag of bricks. Here we were, shoving from the outside, and trying to pull her in,form the inside, with all these laughing (her too!) Italians at this restaurant parking lot, shoving and pulling this old lady. When all the sudden she yelled, in this old cranky voice "Get mad Elda! get mad!" She was telling herself to get mad and get going, to get into that car. We all got quiet and looked at this little old lady, sick and frail and saw the energy, the life force she still owned. Man, she pulled her body into that car with all her strength, all by herself. On the ride to drop her off, I didn’t say a word. Just looked at her. I studied Aunt Elda and learned a valuable thing that day. I wasn’t even sick then, but thought man, when the going gets tough, really tough, I have to be like her and just get mad for a second, and do that thing I feel like I just cant accomplish and then, get on with life. She died about 3 months later, but taught me something, that is priceless I will pass that on to our kids and do already to Tyler. When he just cant figure some thing out , or is stuck, and almost gives up-I say to him "Get mad Tyler! You CAN do it! Do it! " and he laughs, and laughs, then does it. So, when my hubby hears me in the basement working out, or when I'm gulping down fish oil, yuck, ready to gag, or cant have that chocolate cake, he knows why (and laughs) when I let out my "Get mad Ela!" I live by it! I will get better and darn it! At least try my hardest to do it! I say, Daryl, get mad! (Not like make yourself mad or upset or carry anxiety) but like this "I can do it damn it! "And you know what? You will surprise yourself. I love you, girl! Sent: Sunday, November 14, 2004 10:45 AM Subject: Re: -I'm so happy for you!!!!
