Guest guest
Adele, The doctor's name on the show was Dr. Tony Post. Don't know if he was her liver doctor or her O.B. since she had a baby... I'll have to check it out. Beth [ ] Re: Oprah show > Beth, > > What was the name of the DR. at the Cleveland Clinic? Guest guest
Tammy, I did the same thing last night. But I had to keep editing it, since it was over 2000 characters, I guess I was writing a book on plagiocephaly!! My son Jeffry is the same, nap time, he has no problem with his helmet, but during the night we wakes up all the time trying to take it off. Heidi, mom to Jeffry, local helmet, MN Oprah show Hi all! Guest guest
Another angle to get to Oprah would be for everyone to answer her cleaning poll. And of course under the other category at least once mention that you have Lyme. see http://www.oprah.com/tows/intheworks/tows_works_main.jhtml Some of the other up coming shows are: Summer 2003 Vacation Disasters (i got bit by a tick and got Lyme disease, talk about a vacation disaster!) Do you look too old for your age? (hmm is Lyme aging?? I look old for my age and i have Lyme.) Are you the Victim of a Medical Mishap? (the medical mishap of not being correctly diagnosed) Does Your Mom Need An Age-Defying Makeover? (yes, God bless her she has Lyme and needs some TLC!) Are you over 48 and LOVING IT? (yes, now that i am over Lyme, Life is great!) Attention HUSBANDS!! (my wife has Lyme or a husband with Lyme--I want to do something special for my wife, she is always there for me.) Female fans of " Queer Eye for the Straight Guy " ! (female and has Lyme, please do my apartment) Attention CHICAGO! (who in Chicago has Lyme?) Does Your Man Need a Makeover? Are you a couple that needs a makeover? (we both have Lyme, help us!) Attention Ladies! Do you need a makeover? (who doesnt, sign up, mention Lyme, I am too tired, i need a simple look.) How Often do you Clean? (this is the one i mentioned above, it is a survey, take it) MEN: Want to surprise somebody with a new look? (have your husband turn you in) Full Makeover Overhaul for Unsightly Group of Men! (and they all have Lyme!) Hey Divas! Are you Aretha lin's biggest fan? Are You A Steinbeck Fanatic? Do You Live in Steinbeck Country? (who has Lyme from Steinbeck County??) Carmel, California Residents Only! (who has Lyme from Carmel, California??) Do you have a happy divorce? (and you have Lyme or your child has Lyme & both parents help.) Older Women with Younger Men! (and one of you has Lyme.) Want to " turn in " your friends or family members? (turn in a family member who has Lyme and needs some TLC!) Women: Caring for an Aging parent? (my mom has Lyme and i am taking care of her, or i have Lyme & i am taking care of her) What's your favorite quote? (Lyme is the most unknown epidemic.....) We want your show ideas! (suggest a Lyme show ... educate us, prevention, what is a tick?......) Inspired by an Oprah show guest? PRINCESS for a DAY! (I have been sick for years with Lyme, pamper me.) Challenge Nate The Decorator (help, I need to conserve energy I have Lyme.) Need a " HARPO HOOK UP " To Pull A Few Strings? For Kids Only - email Oprah! (i am 5 and i have Lyme, why? Have your kid ask Oprah about Lyme. Have her/him put her on questions or comments on. What is it like to live with Lyme and be a kid.) Need an In-Law Intervention? (I have Lyme and my in-laws dont understand) Would you like a second chance at something? (there is surely something everyone with Lyme wants a 2nd chance at.) Some of these suggestions are a bit of a stretch and maybe it is a way to get through to the staff that it is an epidemic. If it comes up repetitively then they may listen. Again these are ways to get it noticed as a human interest story. gloria On Sunday, August 24, 2003, at 03:32 PM, Beck Spelce wrote: > Ms. Winfrey explained quite explicitly one night on her " after the > show " > show why she doesn't do " sickness " shows. She said that the ratings > for > those shows tanked, and that though she has sympathy for us, her > business is about ratings. So, save your energy.and your breath. > > Beck
Guest guest
, My wife and I weren't impressed either. 1 Sharon told me she could barely understand . 2 Why would Marlee be mad because got a Ci? If Marlee truly felt like she wanted to be deaf, she would have been proud of who and what she is instead of being sulky. My wife and I don't understand; Why would anyone want to remain deaf if they had a chance for hearing? I know what they say about " Deaf culture, " but it seems like a lot of foolishness to us. If I had a chance to see, I would go for it! Larry

Guest guest
Hi -- I just happened to be watching the Oprah show - and now is your time to speak out if you want to get a message across about plastic surgery!!! They are looking for stories to be told of surgeries gone wrong and people that feel plastic surgery is not the way to go! I can't think of a better opportunity for women to get the message out there! The Oprah show is certainly the vehicle for it! The number to call is: (312) 591-9111. Guest guest
Thank you for passing this on! I did try to call the hotline, but got a message saying the call was made during a time when they don't take calls, or the show you are calling about is now full. Do you know another way to contact them???? If she does a story on implants -- think about how huge that would be!! Click on the Oprah Winfrey Show -- then, go to the box that says Inside the Show -- either write about your story on we want your show ideas -- OR, there is one site you can click on that says medical mistakes.....not sure where the plastic surgery story falls under but it was advertised today -- so they must have a plastic surgery show coming up.
