Guest guest
Hanna- I am new to this site. All I can tell you is to read the stories of these women and decide if you want to risk it. Nobody can tell you what to do, but seven years ago this information was not available to me when I had mine put in. Just remember this...it is easy to plan the surgery. You can take the time off of work, or school, or pick a time that is right for you. You can arrange your finances, take out a loan, etc. If you get sick, rupture, have capsular contracture, etc. you no longer have any choices. I live in Boston now (3000 miles from my family) and am in my second year of law school. I had to stop everything to go to the ER a few times last month and see many, many doctors. I had to fly to Atlanta just to find a credible doctor who knows explantation. My student loans and my insurance did not cover any of this. Other than my boyfriend (who was very supportive)...I was alone. And he could not help me financially or take time off of work to take care of me or go to Atlanta. My mom dropped everything to come out and help me. Luckily...my parents loaned me enough money. Without them...I would still be terribly sick. My parent's business suffered, my finances suffered, my studies suffered, my relationships suffered, and most importantly...my health and my spirit suffered. This all happened at the worst time ever...when everything was perfect in my life. You can't choose when you need another surgery. Your implants will decide that for you. So just remember...if you do get them...be informed of signs of illness and act immediately if you get sick. You can't plan for it and later on in your life you might not be in a place to handle it. Guest guest
I want to get saline implants but I am very young and my mother is against it. I have got to weigh the pros and cons because they will help me with my profesional career. All the other women in my particular field have implants. Any ideas or suggestions please write.
