Guest guest
Dear Elaine: Once a person has capsular contracture I believe they are much more likely to get it again. In any case it is not wise to reimplant if you want the greatest hope for recovery. Please reconsider. It is more important to get them out properly and think about a lift at another time if necessary. I'm sorry to confront you with this but want the best or you. Guest guest
, Thank you but I will be sure to ask Dr. Huang about the frequency of recurrence of capsular contractor, she would know about this more than any one of us here. Her assistant told me that placement and using implants with texture can far reduce this. I believe I will recover from this painful capsular if I get replacements and hopefully the capsular won't come back. If it does then I know to get an explant and lift. Soon I'm getting new health insurance so if I do get capsular again, I will be covered with good insurance.I would not get an explant without a lift, if I'm going to explant I will do it at the same time as a lift. Guest guest
Plastic surgeons always downplay the incidence of capsular contracture, in my opinion. All implants will become harder over time, as the body forms a scar capsule around the implant to protect the body from the foreign object. Many of us believe, because of the fungus and other pathogens that grow in the implants, and the large incidence of women with chronic fungal infections, that saline implants are every bit as harmful as silicone ones. Guest guest
Lynda, I appreciated you writing to me, you are the only one who did but I don't get what you are saying about surgeons downplaying, you told me Dr Huang is really good and honest so why are you sayin now that she is downplaying, it doesn't make sense because either she is honest about about these things or not? This is my life we are talking about. I need to know if this is a doctor I can trust? They seemed so nice on the phone and the website is so thorough. I e-mailed Dr Huang I have not heard back from her but all Dr. Huangs emailes from her website are CC to a lady named who runs an implant information website, it's a good site that it's link can be found on on Dr, Huang's own website. is very polite and answered some of my questions and assured me I was safe with Dr. Huang and implant replacement of saltwater implants and that Dr. Huang would never be on her website unless she was top notch. I will wait to hear from Dr. Huang.ElaineLynda <coss@...> wrote: Plastic surgeons always downplay the incidence of capsular contracture, in my opinion. Guest guest
's site is NOT one we recommend to anyone, because it is totally pro-implant and will not allow negatives to be posted. Guest guest
Lynda, my head is spinning because now I am really confused. You sent me Dr. Huang's website address www.lindahuangmd.com which I really liked and appreciated that you did that.
