Guest guest
Hanna - you sound so young and impressionable. I wish we could give you a crystal ball and you could see your future -- and I wish you had enough self esteem to realize that any business that only wants you because of the bags in your chest, is not a great business.....but, I know - it all seems so glamorous when you are young.....I was there once too..... Remember, I was never sick -- had no clue that these implants were doing what they were doing OR that they looked like they were looking -- until they were taken out. It was so disturbing!!! What a mess!!! I'm so much healthier now - scars and all!! You mentioned in one e-mail that you would just replace - often. Oh my gosh - to go thru surgery after surgery!! It is so major and takes such a toll. Go thru ONE and you won't be saying that. The problem is that you get stuck and you have to have other surgeries. I wish we could help you -- but I think it's something very personal. We can only share our experiences and hope that it helps. Some people don't mind the thought of surgery after surgery. Especially those that have never had one for implants!!! I cannot imagine going thru another one!! Two is my limit! One in, one out! My breasts will never be the same -- the damage has been done. But, so what! I'm so much more mature now - it feels great! More confident, etc. It's actually kind of a powerful feeling to be in this 'place' now in my life. I have a husband, two children to raise....lots to look forward to. Thank God those implants are gone -- now I can move on!! Hope you use a lot of thought and deliberations in this process. Good luck!
Guest guest
I guess i was thinking that since and a few others on here said they got sick at 7 or 8 years, or Daryl at what 10 years, that maybe if they had gotten them out sooner or replaced them they might not have grown things in them, fungals or what you are all taling about. Do you know anyone with implants who is not ill? I have to admit at this point I am still leaning to get implants. It is just the only way to get in this business, and look at all the women that have them, Demi looks beautiful and very healthy, she has incredible hair, i think it is real anyway. Thank you Kathy, I am still keeping an open mind. I am just confused, and no one has really helped me from being confused. I maybe more cofused now than I was. but I do thank you Hannamikat828 <mikat828@...> wrote: hannaReplacing your implants every seven years would not keep you from getting sick. Most women who get sick from implants are reacting to the silicone shell or the metals used in them. I was sick from implants and mine were clear when I got them out. I understand why you want the implants, but it is a very real risk. No one can predict if you will get sick, but obviously many women have. There is just no way anyone can guarantee you that you won't get sick. Likewise, no one can predict if you get sick, how sick you might get. Or when. Some women get sick right away. others not for years. Some women have nonspecific symptoms while others develop classical lupus, scleroderma or ms symptoms. Some women will get much better after explant. Some women will not. Only you can decide if the risk is worth it. Most of us were not aware of the risks and made our decision without knowing you could get sick. We were told that salines were safe. It is just sterile saline. I was told even if they broke, I would be just fine. If I had found a site like this prior to getting the implants, you can bet that I would have never gotten them. And I would have saved myself and my family so much pain and suffering. You know alot of women with implants that are not sick. That doesn't mean they won't get sick down the road. I had mine eleven years before getting suddenly terribly sick within a matter of weeks. All I can tell you is that we are always getting new women writing us, sharing the same story--of how they were getting all these strange symptoms but no one ever thought it was their implants. Look at how many women are members of this site. Look at how many new women come to this site weekly. It may not seem like huge numbers, but most women still don't know how to find a group like this or just are not aware that their implants can cause illness because they have been told by "doctors" they can't. Again, the decision is yours. But please make the decision with your eyes wide open. Know that there is definitely a risk and no way to predict whether you will be a casualty. Good luck.hugs, kathy> > > > what I don't get is how come all the women I know with implants > are > > healthy? None of them are sick.
