Guest guest
Hi-I'm always saying to myself " Why did I have to get sick? I know other women who have implants and they seem fine! " I never thought that this could happen to me. Some of the women I know got sick right away and others (like me) took longer. That's why the studies that are done on implants aren't correct. The ones studies that I have read are only a year long (after implants are put in) Some girls bodies reject them the 1st week! I believe that there are different immune systems. Maybe someone will do OK with silicone in their body, but others get very sick. Every single Dr. I have ever been to has told me that implants DID NOT get me sick. When I finally had them removed, 10 yrs. after I got them, they were black and full of bacteria and fungus. The silicone on the outside was coming apart and alot of it was floating around my body. I lost my career, my husband, and my health because I got saline breast implants. I know that it seems really important to have big breasts now, but just really think about the future. Some of the girls you know are healthy now, but may not be in the future. It's very smart of you to look around for info on implants- Good luck! Guest guest
Hannah, 7 years of fun, partying, being implanted, and making money will all catch up. You can get away with it when you are young, but it all catches up. Implants take a huge toll on your body and it may not show up right away, but it will .It took almost 8 years witt me, and i looked pretty and energetic the whole time. Its a serious game you are playing. >From: Hanna Longhurst <hannaluvs2flirt@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: Re: implants?-For Hanna >Date: Wed, 17 Nov 2004 15:25:51 -0800 (PST) > >Daryl, >thanks for writting to me. Maybe if you had replaced your implants sooner you maby would not be sick? I know about replacing. I have so many friends with implants. Some new some older. My profession or desired profession is being a swimsuit model, but also doing some go-go dancing. The facts are the facts, the girls with the biggest paychecks have implants. >Right now I am flat as a board. I do well with the modeling in clothes only because of silicone enhancers and other methods they use, taping, stuffing and all kinds of cheating things to make your boobs look bigger. >The go-go dancing is really where allot of money can be made, but I struggle to compete with the girls that have implants. They make 10x as much as me some nights. Not because I am unattractive, men just like the bigger booobs. That is what they come to see. >I am sorry for you being so sick. I just don't see anyone with implants that is not having a good time. They all are partying and making lots of cash. > >I wonder if I just replace them every 7 years till I make all the money I need and get too old for this career anyway, then I just get them out and be ok. >this is a lot of things to think about. >thank you >Hanna > >daryljean35 <daryljean@...> wrote: > >Hi-I'm always saying to myself "Why did I have to get sick? Guest guest
hanna Replacing your implants every seven years would not keep you from getting sick. Most women who get sick from implants are reacting to the silicone shell or the metals used in them. I was sick from implants and mine were clear when I got them out. I understand why you want the implants, but it is a very real risk. No one can predict if you will get sick, but obviously many women have. There is just no way anyone can guarantee you that you won't get sick. Likewise, no one can predict if you get sick, how sick you might get. Or when. Some women get sick right away. others not for years. Some women have nonspecific symptoms while others develop classical lupus, scleroderma or ms symptoms. Some women will get much better after explant. Some women will not. Only you can decide if the risk is worth it. Most of us were not aware of the risks and made our decision without knowing you could get sick. We were told that salines were safe. It is just sterile saline. I was told even if they broke, I would be just fine. If I had found a site like this prior to getting the implants, you can bet that I would have never gotten them. And I would have saved myself and my family so much pain and suffering. You know alot of women with implants that are not sick. That doesn't mean they won't get sick down the road. I had mine eleven years before getting suddenly terribly sick within a matter of weeks. All I can tell you is that we are always getting new women writing us, sharing the same story--of how they were getting all these strange symptoms but no one ever thought it was their implants. Look at how many women are members of this site. Look at how many new women come to this site weekly. It may not seem like huge numbers, but most women still don't know how to find a group like this or just are not aware that their implants can cause illness because they have been told by " doctors " they can't. Again, the decision is yours. But please make the decision with your eyes wide open. Know that there is definitely a risk and no way to predict whether you will be a casualty. Good luck. hugs, kathy > > > > what I don't get is how come all the women I know with implants > are > > healthy? None of them are sick. Guest guest
Hanna I can really sympathize with how you feel. It is something you want very badly and it appears that there are many women who have done it and they are fine. YOu asked if I knew anyone not sick. Well my 2 sisters and my best friend got implants a few years before me. My one sister doesn't seem sick. My other sister has many symptoms of fms but she says it is the normal aging process. So I really don't know. My good friend has many problems: chronic pain in neck and shoulders which she blames on weightlifting. She has a kidney enlarged and she has intersitial cystitis, which is a very painful condition where the urethal lining gets little ulcers, you have to urinate constantly and it is very painful. There is no cure. She thinks she would have gotten it anyway. Even though she knows I was sick and got alot better after explantaion, she doesn't believe her problems to be implant related and probably doesn't think mine were either. She also has alot of depression, fatigue, etc. There may be alot of women out there who have symptoms that they blame on something else. I know I did for years. I probably still would be thinking it was just me if it hadn't happened that my illness escalated wildly three years ago. In a very short period of time I developed over 20 symptoms...many alarming. I honestly thought I was going to die. Within weeks of explant the weirdest symptoms-- weird brain dysfunction--left completely. The rest of my symptoms have either left or gotten better than they were. I now must be vigilant in trying to maintain my improvements and push for more. I think the worst thing about the implants is the unknown. There is never a time where you can relax and feel safe with them. Plus, I hated the way they felt. Even though I felt more womanly, it wasn't that natural looking. I was as flat as a boy with absolutely no curve at all before implants. Even though I was only a 34B with implants, I looked almost like I had 2 balls on my chest. I could always feel the tabs on them, and I always could feel ridges. Plus, I lost sensation in my nipples after surgery and thus lost a whole area of sexual pleasure that I used to experience. So while I am sure my husband liked them more, I liked them less. Not a good trade off and there is no way they can guarantee that you won't have permanent loss of sensation. Now the area under my breasts are numb as well. They don't squish like normal breasts and while most girls' breasts slope somewhat, these didn't. The truth is that natural breasts are usually more attractive unless you had a problem like tubular breasts. If you go to the photos section, I think you might agree that most of these ladies actually looked better without the implants. I know you said that your chosen profession calls for that, but are you willing to change the shape and feel of your body to please someone else'e idea of what is beautiful? I applaud people like calista flockhart and gwyneth paltrow and nicole kidman who are beautiful and proud of their bodies the way they are. I don't know if you read Kacey's story in Parade magazine a few weeks back. Kacey is a very pretty young lady who wanted to look even better. She was interviewed for a tv segment called I Want a Famous Face. She said she wanted to look like julia roberts in erin Brockavich. So she got implants. She now has Rheumatoid Arthritis and is often in deabilitating pain. She is now spending almost all her time and energy getting the word out to people who are in their teens and twenties that implants can ruin your life. If you personally like the way you look, I would never get the implants. They are just not natural feeling. The ones that were more natural feeling were even more dangerous. I don't know hanna, if you like yourself the way you are, I wouldn't mess with it. It is not natural and you sure sound pretty enough just the way God made you. I would sure hate for you to ever have to regret a choice that could potentially cost you so much. ANd your family --we have women on here who breastfed with implants and their children are sick too. If I were you, I would pray about it and ask God to give you a sense of peace about which way to go. If after that you have any doubts at all about getting them, I would say don't get them. I will say a prayer that God gives you a sense of direction in this. hugs, kathy > > > > > > what I don't get is how come all the women I know with implants > > are > > > healthy? Guest guest
Hannah, and remeber although I didnt get sick for 7 or 8 years I think because I worked out all the time, hardly ever drank, took vitamins, was very young, and healthy, and my family is healthy, perhaps my immunity handled it longer than others. For me, it took was longer. But I wish it hadnt. No matter what the time elegth, I got very ill, Auot immnue illness ill. I wish I had gotten them out sooner. But if you are drinking ,smoking, or ever plan on having kids or dont take care of yourself, your chances of becoming ill are elevated. Just my opinion. >From: "mikat828" <mikat828@...> >Reply- > >Subject: Re: implants?-For Hanna >Date: Fri, 19 Nov 2004 04:26:33 -0000 > > > >Hanna >I can really sympathize with how you feel.
