Guest guest
Well, I thought I'd have to wait until tomorrow to find out about my ear, but the good ol' doc called tonight at 7pm. What a guy. He said that I have to have surgery and that the cholestatoma is pressing on the bones in my middle ear. He isn't sure if I need a second surgery, but he is hoping he can reconstruct my middle ear during the first surgery and all I will need is the one surgery. They go in behind your ear, not through your ear canal and he will actually use cartilage from within my ear to rebuld my middle ear so it is stronger and doesn't keep getting rupturs in the middle ear. This guy is really mellow, thourough and nice. His office will be calling tomorrow to be setting up the surgery and he even said with all my stuff with stills that he wants to make sure that the operating room is prepared for me in regards to the table having more padding than normal to help me not hurt as much after. What a guy.. I'll be off to the resort, but I'm not freaked out because I totally trust this guy and he has a very calming effect on me and on my husband - what a relief. I just want my ear to stop hurting. What can I say, after 25+ surgeries, I can't really say that another one scares me... now can I???? Hugs to all Alli
