Hi ---

Ahhhhh to be able to have pizza again -- I make my own crusts (put

fresh herbs in the Cuisinart along with the flour so when it bakes it

smells really great) but had become unable to have it myself unless I

wanted to just have veggies as I am completely lactose intolerant

(can't even digest goat's or sheep's milk cheeses). I was SOOOOOOO

happy to read that if the gluten is part of the problem and I get rid

of the gluten, I might become able to tolerate milk products some

again -- YIPPEE!!! My fancy ice cream machine has just been

gathering dust in the cabinet.

I am ready to give this gluten-free diet a try -- it sure seems worth

a couple of month trial period -- looking up how to get the books

later. By the way, although I needed to have my distended ab area so

I would have the pouch or extra/loose skin for this reconstruction, I

was interested to read that the distention may well be due to gluten

intolerance, along with the worsening of my thyroid condition and my

IBS (amongst other symptoms).

Since I do not like pasta anymore (it reminds me of a pasty blob and

I just have no interest in eating it anymore -- though my husband and

son love to eat it at least twice a week) I will miss bread some --

liked sandwiches from time to time (especially when in a hurry to go

out to see a movie). If you have any tips on breads, I am all ears.

THANKS AGAIN -- did you get my email about fun holiday stuff to do

with your children?

Regards,

(lu)

> Ok, I am sure I have glutened everyone out! Sorry. Kathy, you asked

what my favorite brand of pasta was/Here it is. Any Tinkyada brand

noodle is awesome! You will not be able to tell the difference, if

you cook it to directions (don't do the enery saving one, where you

turn the pot off and let it cook in hot water, it gets mushy) this

stuff is so good my Italian husband told me to throw all the other

stuff out and make this for the family, as you cannot tell! I just

made lasagna last week. The other brands were very gritty, or corn

like, or mushy. Yuck This has been rated the best of all pastas, and

I know why. You can also sometimes find this at Jewel Osco. And

Pamelas cookies are great!

> I havent tried any pizza mixes, so fill me in. Its all about trial

and error.
