Patty,

I'm thrilled for you . . . Your baby is doing great,

and so are you! . . .

I'm praying that your doctor will become one of our

crusaders! . . . We desperately need a medical doctor

willing to stick their neck out and tell the world!

The idea that 3 of 10 young women have implants is

beyond sickening! . . . If just 1% of these children

become seriously ill, a disaster is in works!

Now I'm wondering if my diet changes helped my

thyroid!

Love you,

Rogene

Do you mind if I ask you a personal question? I think from this

message your pregnant right? I want to have a baby soon too. I am

just not sure if I should wait or start trying now. What do you

think? How long did you wait to get pregnant?

I was not sick, but I gained weight with the implants the last 2

years and am concerned that I might get really heavy if I get

pregnant now. Do you think I should lose weight before I get pregnant?

By the way Congratulations! Babies are so wonderful. Such blessings.

I want at least 1 more. I have a daughter so I really want a little

boy. Do you want a boy or a girl? As long as they are healthy i guess

that is all that counts!!!!!!!!

eliminating gluten, my t3 skyrocketed from about 200 (higher end

improvements with my thyroid condition over this next year, as this

was so fast. (maybe remission? ) He says he would like to do some

kind of paper on this , with me. I said fine! I was also so hyper, he

was surprised that I wasn't heart palpitating. He also said the

implants did a whammy on me, as he has never seen such a resistance

to thyroid meds (I was on a lot for a long time with him and although

I felt better, the amount I was on, most people show symptoms of

being hyper on, but for me, it got my metabolism perfect, perfect

that to this site and Patty. had I not been informed, I would have

had a beautiful heartbeat! all is well! Love

Wow julie

I am so glad that your doctor is keeping you tested so that he was

able to catch that! hyperthyroidism can be extremely serious if not

under control. did you tell your gyne about being hyper thyroid?

Please keep a very close watch on it. Hopefully your body will

react quickly to dropping the meds down also. I will keep you in my

prayers.

Kathy, that why I see him often -for a while almost every month. Dr Manakas is very thorough. He would never have guessed that the gluten was affecting my thyroid to that extent and so quickly, that I would be producing my own hormones, so fast. It was funny though, I was only exhibiting slight hyperthyroidism, so its not like my heart was racing or anything. He is bringing me down in proper dosages and is not concerned about this affecting the baby, as most women need more thyroid the first three months, so for a short time, more is better than less. Not optimal, but ok. I'm not concerned kathy! He caught it! I feel great and know God is protecting me. And this baby. Thanks for your concern . It is good though- I am getting better with the removal of gluten .So to me, it was good news to need LESS thyroid meds! ! Love julie Re: thyroid and gluten!

I agree! your news is good. I just wanted to make sure that they

were very on top of the situation. I hope that my gluten free diet

leads me to better utilization of my thyroid hormone also! Glad to

hear that all is well with baby!

Dear Rogene --

Would you think I should wait 1-2 months -- eating just corn and rice

cereal to get all the gluten out of my system first -- and then re-

introduce this imported oatmeal? Is Kamut any good?

Thanks for the tip about the imported oats -- I will miss my oatmeal

in the morning until I can find this.

lu

lu,

can tell you a lot more about beginning a

gluten-free diet than I can. . . What information I

have is second hand through and a friend with

Celiac disease.

You may find this web site interesting though . .

..They are in the DFW area and hold meetings.

The webmaster is my friend's husband.
