Guest guest
, Detoxing means removing toxins . . . Toxins can accumulate throughout our bodies . . . One major area for accumulating toxins is the liver since the liver cleans the blood. If we get overloaded with toxins, the liver can't get rid of toxins as fast as they come in, so we detox the liver. Another major detox is through the skin. . . Fatty tissues hold onto toxins. Therapies that encourage sweating can help remove the toxins in fatty tissues. IMHO, it's possible that our body adds fat when we are exposed to toxins in an effort to insulate the rest of the body from toxins. The lymph system collects waste throughout the body and flushes it through the lymph system. . . Exercise, rebounding, and massage can help drain the lymph system. The intestines can accumulate a great deal of waste if they aren't functioning properly. There are a number of ways to clean out the digestive system . . . fasts, enemas, supplements, plus probiotics that replace beneficial bacteria that have been lost to an impaired immune system or antibiotics. The gall bladder flush will remove stones. Some people find they can avoid gall bladder surgery this way. When we start detoxing, some of these toxins that have been resting somewhat quietly get stirred up as the body works to eliminate them. . . That results in herxing. Herxing is temporary. It often feels flu-like, or we feel more achy than usual. Once you finish herxing, you should feel better than you did before beginning the program. It takes a little practice identify a herx and to learn how to manage it so you can keep functioning, but still detox without feeling too bad. The main thing is not to let it scare you. Too often we quit a detox program that would help us if we could just hang in there long enough to get over the hump! The key to detoxing successfully is to take it slow and to be aware of little changes in how we feel. Since you weren't having symptoms with your implants, you probably don't have many toxins to worry about. The world we live in is becoming increasingly more toxic. . . So, even if you weren't sick, you're not getting off free! . . . It never hurts to work a detox program occasionally. If you find that you herx when working the program, it can be an indication that you need to detox more. You can read through the detox methods the ladies here have found successful by clicking on the link for the group at the bottom of the page. Nobody could work all the programs at one time. You need to trust your instincts as to which one(s) you feel will benefit you, and which you feel comfortable with. If you have any more questions, please let me know.
