Guest guest
Lea, Thanks, I'm glad you understand how I feel. If you had asked me 2 years ago if I would feel this way I would have said no way! I didn't want an inside animal, I felt that my house would be dirty and smelly and I could never love another animal the way I did when I was a kid. Then came Peanut. She came here with my son after spending a long weekend at his friend's house. The two became inseparable and the owner's asked if we wanted to keep her. I said no!!! Then came the begging from the kids and somehow my husband said yes. I told my son (then 13) that he had to take her with him when he went to his aunt's farm for summer break which was about a week or so away. Then came time for him to leave and I told him he couldn't take her with him! She became mine very quickly and she's my best friend now. When she had her puppies it was like I was having more grandkids! I was with her just like I was with my daughter when she had my grandson. I couldn't believe how attached I was to her puppies right from the start. I'm so glad I have her and I would pay thousands of dollars to make her well if she was sick. I hope your son finds a new kitty soon. I feel for him. And no, I'm not Pam Dowd, my last name is Pearson. The name sounds familiar though...
