Guest guest
Hi Ladies -- Just when I thought we needed to take her back in and part with her she is rallying today. I came home from the gym (we take turns going out so she is not alone) to find her standing at the door almost prancing (as much as she can now) to let me know that she wanted to go for a walk. We went for a nice slow walk -- I hoped to see neighbors so they could say good-bye -- I guess everyone was out shopping. She is now sleeping peacefully a few feet from me -- after a nice massage not only down her legs but across her forehead (now that I know her cancer is near there). Thank you all so much for your kind words and the massage suggestion. I have been massaging her already -- I bought one of the trigger point books for my problem arm/shoulder -- once I looked at some of the healing arts websites linked to the reiki sites I found a couple of other hints I had not thought of: in particular, using a hot pad (I have several as i get shoulder injuries so frequently) for her and the idea of the light touch (dry bath) in addition to the massage. I usually whisper how much I love her while I massage her just as I do when she is resting -- I know this helps her (and me especially when I see the love in her eyes). I do not know how long this good time will last -- hopefully long enough for me to talk the vet into giving me a sedative to give her for that " last ride to the vet " that I know is in our next few days or weeks. The vet's asst said one of the signs will be that she will not eat for several days along with being too listless to get up (she was definitely like that all day yesterday -- she slept almost non- stop until 9PM). So I am thankful for this good day and for all of you. Regards,
